Name: Alain J. Picard
Bio: Alain Picard studied at the Art Student's League in New York City, and currently makes his home in Southbury, Connecticut. Picard cites Sargent, Degas, and Sorolla among his artistic influences. He has garnered top awards in esteemed exhibitions including the Pastel Society of America, Connecticut Society of Portrait Artists, and the Connecticut Pastel Society where he holds signature member status. In 2004, The Artist's Magazine highlighted Alain as one of 20 contemporary artists "On the Rise".
