Libby Peters

Name: Libby Peters, PSA
Bio: A native of Ft. Worth, Texas, Libby’s art studies began at age twelve and have continued throughout her life. After earning a BBA from the University of Texas, Arlington, she continued to study painting in universities and workshops with many nationally known artists. She is a signature member of the Pastel Society of America, the Pastel Society of the Southwest and a member of the Portrait Society of America, Oil Painters of America, the Degas Pastel Society and Past President, Exhibition Chair and Webmaster of the Austin Pastel Society.
Media: Pastel, oil.
Subjects: Portraits.
Style: Representational.
Navigation: Main menu remains available at top of page all of the time. Navigation is very easy.
Gallery: Portfolio of 24 images, both pastel and oil.
Image View: Details of medium and dimension are included in thumbnails. Clicking on a thumbnail enlarges it within a slideshow. You can go to previous or next images, back to portfolio, play the slideshow or download the image. When I say download, I mean there is actually a download button, the only one I’ve seen so far in over 200 websites! The only (small) fly in the ointment is that every image is saved as “web.jpg” so you must rename the file before saving, which is no big deal. I usually name a file with the name and dimension of the painting anyway. The Derby is 36x24 inches, and the file size is 493 x 365, 39 KB.
Demo: Yes – on her blog.
Blog: Libby keeps a work in progress blog. However, this is part of her website, and not a blog as such. This means the archive is purely a text menu of previous posts, and not until you open the link do you see what the painting looks like. You can then follow the painting's progress one image at a time via next (or previous) buttons (effectively a slideshow.) This seems unnecessarily cumbersome to me. I think perhaps the standard blog format might be a better option.
Ebay: No.
