Name: Pamela Carter
Bio: Pamela Carter has a fine arts degree, teaching experience, and has attended many workshops over the years with internationally recognized master painters. Her prize winning paintings, exhibited and collected across Canada and in Europe, have been shown at both the National Arts Club and the Salmagundi Club in New York. More recently she has been invited to show her work and demonstrate her techniques at international conventions in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Rouen, France.
When she moved to Toronto from Montreal she taught as a replacement art specialist in three schools: TFS (Toronto French School), UCC (Upper Canada College), and UTS (University of Toronto Schools). In 2008, Pamela Carter said goodbye to all that to pursue her career as a painter.
Media: Pastel, oils
Subjects: Still life, Landscape, Cityscapes, Figurative, Portraits.
Navigation: Main menu remains available until you enter gallery slideshows, where you can return home, or back to gallery main page.
Gallery: Portraits; People and Places; Still Life.
Image View: Each gallery consists of a page of thumbnails that may be enlarged. Neither thumbnail nor enlarged image gives details of dimension and medium of original. When you click on People and Places, and on Still Life, you are informed that you are in the Portraits gallery, although the paintings are clearly in the right place; within People and Places gallery at least, the previous button does not always function – from Kamouraska Croissants #1 for instance. These are minor complaints and easily fixed. The paintings are very accomplished. This image is 375x309, 39 KB.
Blog: The blog concentrates on the artist’s oil paintings.
