Name: Tatijana Jacenkiw
Bio: Tatijana Jacenkiw got her Bachelor of Architecture in 1979 at the Illinois Institute of Technology. Her education in pastel is ongoing, and she has taken workshops with Susan Ogilvie, Ron Monsma, Richard McKinley, Margaret Dyer, Greg Biolchini, Jimmy Wright, Doug Dawson, and Bill Schneider. Tatijana says that she works almost exclusively in pastels, though she sometimes experiments with watermedia for underpainting to create a toned surface and to add more depth or interest to a painting.
