Anne McGrory

Name: Anne McGrory, PSA
Bio: Anne McGrory attended the Rhode Island School of Design. Since graduating in 1981 with a BFA, majoring in Illustration, Anne has had a diverse career as a jewellery designer, model maker, sculptor and painter. Recently Anne has returned to her love of painting. Anne works in pastel, oil and acrylics, often incorporating gold leaf into her paintings. Today her focus is on still life and New England landscapes. She maintains her residence and studio in New Hampshire with her husband Bernie and daughter Sarah. Anne is a regular prize winner in the Pastel 100 competitions, including 3rd place in the 2010 Still Life and Floral category. She won a Gold Medal at the New England Representational Painting Competition in 2009.
Media: Pastel, oil, acrylic.
Subjects: Still Life, Landscape.
Style: Representational.
Navigation: Menu remains available at left of page.
Gallery: Still Life, Landscapes, Portraits, Sculpture
Image View: Each gallery runs a series of thumbnails along top of page, with the enlargement occupying the lower central space. As you click on each image in the series, the enlargement opens as if in an invisible cell that resizes with the varying size of the image. This resize problem also applies to each gallery page, such that the visible boundary varies with the page content.
There is no indication of image medium or dimension. The enlargements are not in fact very big, no doubt somewhat constrained by the choice of page design. If the thumbnails were lined up vertically, if necessary sandwiching the viewing cell, it would work better.
