Clive Tyler

Name: Clive Tyler, PSA
Bio: Clive R. Tyler, of Ft. Collins, Colorado, studied Fine Art and Design at Kent State University (Ohio) with a double major and was awarded a Bachelors of Fine Art degree, and had a 20-year career as a graphic and product designer with expertise on product development. His painting education has developed from studying old masters and from attending workshops at the Loveland (Colorado) Art Academy with Lorenzo Chavez, Skip Whitcomb, and Patti Andre.
A dedicated plein air painter, his work has won many honors and awards, including Best of Show at the Museum of Outdoor Arts, the People’s Choice Award from the Rocky Mountain Plein Air Paint Out; and the Pastel Journal’s 8th Annual Pastel 100 competition. He’s an elected member of the Pastel Society of America and a signature member of the Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painters.
Clive was First Place winner in the Pastel Category in First Annual Autumn Art Challenge on Facebook - a worldwide event with thousands of entrants. The link is and you can view all the entries (lots of pastels)
