Paula Gach

Name: Paula Gach, PSA
Bio: Paula Gach Moskowitz has been studying with Jeff Web for about five years. She has also studied at the Art Student’s League, New York, the California College of Arts and Crafts, the School of Visual Arts, New York, and the Hartford School of Art Paula has won the prestigious Diana Bernhard Gold Medal award at the Pastel Society of America.
She is an associate member of the Pastel Society of America, and a member of the Long Beach Art League.
Medium: Pastel, acrylic, oil.
Subjects: Landscape, Still Life, Portraits.
Style: Representational.
Navigation: Main menu remains on top. On the main gallery page you can choose which collection to view; and there are two options – click on an image to bring up the sub-gallery page as a set of thumbnails plus a screen area, or as a slideshow. The screen area allows you to choose a particular image to view, or another gallery to view, by means of drop-down menus. Meanwhile, the thumbnails to the side enlarge on mouseover. This is the first website I have come across with all these features.
Gallery: Landscape; Still Life; Portraits; Drawings; Miscellaneous.
Image View: Click to enlarge thumbnail in new screen area. This is where information on medium, support and dimension is made available. The chosen image can be saved. If you go for the slideshow option mentioned above, each painting is treated as a movie file within the slideshow, so that the image is enlarged but also “scanned” by the camera so that no detail is missed. One can download an image both from the “enlarged thumbnail” option and from the slideshow option – the latter image is larger. Noah with guitar is 900x675, 75 KB in the slideshow, and 350x262, 15 KB as an enlarged thumbnail. (The original is 25x19 ins.)
Demo: No.
Blog/EBay/Flickr: No.
