Paula Lawson

Name: Paula Lawson
Bio: Paula Lawson, from Garland , Texas, returned to fine art after 25 years as a commercial illustrator. She received a BFA in Studio Art from the University of Texas, where she took life drawing, illustration and graphic design courses. Paula focuses on landscapes rendered in pastels. She spends a lot of time in the outdoors-hiking and photographing in Texas and the Southwest. In April 2005 Paula won the Jack Richeson/Unison Pastels best of show award in the Pastel 100. She is currently, for the first time, teaching high school art and enjoys giving back what she has learned through the years.

Navigation: The whole website seems to be one Shockwave movie. It is very like Opus, for those of you who know this software.
Gallery: Click on Images, Gallery to see a set of thumbnails to the left side of the window that display enlargements on mouse over. You may also view the paintings in larger format by choosing Images, Slideshow.
Image View: No information on image medium (presumably pastel) or dimension. Images cannot be downloaded, although a Prt Sc solution might be worth trying during the slideshow. I am grateful to Paula for sending me the jpeg of Big Bend Rio to share with you on this blog.
