Maggie Price

Name: Maggie Price, RIP.
Bio: Maggie Price majored in Fine Art, University of Missouri-Kansas City: 1979-1981. She has studied privately with Albert Handell, Eric Michaels, Elizabeth Mowry and others. In 1999 she founded the Pastel Journal, with Janie Hutchinson, for which the art world owes her an enduring debt of gratitude. Maggie became a Signature Member, Pastel Society of America, in 2006 and was elected member of the prestigious Salmagundi Art Club, New York City in 2009. On November 6, 2009, Maggie received the Distinguished Pastelist honor from the Pastel Society of New Mexico, the first in that category to be given by the society.
Update April 2013: Maggie Price passed away in April 2013. She was married to fellow artist Bill Canright.
