Sharon Bamber

Name: Sharon Bamber, PSC
Bio: Born in Great Britain, Sharon Bamber has spent much of her adult life travelling and working throughout S.E. Asia and Australasia until settling in British Columbia in 2006. She has qualifications and has had careers in Zoology, Landscape Architecture and International Sport Management.
The move to British Columbia in 2006 and a workshop in that same year with Canadian pastel artist, Gaye Adams, focused Sharon on a new career as a full time artist. This has culminated in a convergence of her personal and academic interests finding expression in her work.
Sharon was juried into the Federation of Canadian Artists in January 2008 and is a member of the Pastel Artists of Canada. She received an Honourable Mention, Animal & Wildlife Category in the Pastel Journal's Pastel 100 Competition (2010).
She resides in the West Kootenays in British Columbia, where she has built a straw bale house with her husband.
