Remi Lacroix

Name: Remi Lacroix, PSEC, SCA
Bio:Having taken courses in drawing and sculpture in the 1990s, Quebec artist Remi Lacroix’s passion for representational painting brought him to the Silvia Araya Academy, Boucherville, in 1998. Numerous workshops followed with, among others, Juan Cristobal, Denis Jacques, Anne Lemieux, Eddy Dion, Humberto Pinochet, Max Stiebel and Pamela Carter. He is a signatory member of Pastel Society of the Eastern Canada ( PSEC ), member of the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod (PPSCC) and the Society of Canadian Artists (SCA).
In 2007, he abandoned his other activities to devote him self full-time to painting, courses and seminars.
In 2009, he discovered acrylic and he decided to leave his teaching to devote himself entirely to his work. Since then, he has worked only with this medium, using it as if it were oil.

Style: Representational, veering towards abstract in his more recent works.
