Kurt Weiser

Name: Kurt Weiser
Bio: After graduating from college in Landscape Architecture, 1991, Kurt Weiser went on to design community parks, recreation facilities, and landscape plans for commercial businesses and private residences nationwide. He then joined his brother in California painting murals. When Kurt married he became a“stay at home” dad and found the time to become a full-time artist. Kurt says that he was “drawn to pastels because of their true colors. Techniques of layering and color combinations challenge me to understand the color wheel and all of its components. I feel in control of every step when creating a new piece by strategizing each layer with form, color and composition.”
Medium: Pastel
Subjects: Landscape; floral.
Style: Representational.
Navigation: Main menu remains on top of screen. Navigation from gallery to image and back is easy.
Gallery: Click on thumbnail images on home page, of which there are some 92.
Image View: The images, enlarged in a new window, give information on medium and size.. They will enlarge further if clicked again – this is a “zoom” function and I think the image is either cropped or distorted by this feature. For instance, Crab Shack is 8 x 8 ins, but the zoomed image (above) is certainly not square at at 558 x 588, 123 KB.
