Muriel Gutierrez

“Paysage de Meinier ” © Muriel Gutierrez

Name: Muriel Gutierrez
Bio: Swiss artist Muriel Gutierrez's first adventures in art were with pencils or ink. A fortuitous birthday present opened the world of pastels to her and she has concentrated on this medium ever since. At first confining herself  to local exhibitions, as she gained experience and confidence she opened up new horizons. She has taken lessons from Marie-Rose Tudeau, artist and teacher at Bois CARAN, and at Feytiat  with the Société des Pastellistes de France. Her work and technique has now been featured on the brochure for the new (April 2012) pastel cubes and pencil from Caran d'Ache.
