Bio: Gail Sibley was born to artistic parents, and brought up in Kingston, Jamaica. Her colourful palette must have been influenced by her Caribbean childhood. Gail completed a BFA (Honours) at the University of Manitoba, did Graduate Studies in Art History at Queen’s University, and received her MA in 1989. She settled in British Columbia on Canada’s west coast in 1994.
In 2002, Gail was awarded Signature Membership in the Pastel Society of America. Gail has participated in national and international shows and her work is in private and corporate collections in several countries. In addition to being a full-time artist, Gail delivers well-received workshops in drawing and pastels. She is is the author of numerous books and demonstration DVD's on all aspects of pastel painting. Check out her instructional website http://www.howtopastel.com/
