Bio : Jacqueline Meyerson grew up in New York, and attended Kingsborough Community College, Brooklyn, 1970 and Brooklyn College, 1974, where she took several art classes, but not until later in life did she realise her potential as an artist. In 2001,she gave up her full time job as a controller of a small electronics firm and decided to concentrate on art.
A Signature member of the Pastel Society of America, Associate member of Allied Artists of America, member of Bethlehem Palette Club, Parkland Art League and Lehigh Valley Arts Council, she now teaches a pastel workshop at the Baum School in Allentown PA, as well as other venues.
In 2012 Jacqueline was a Pastel 100 award winner, won the Mary Lou Fitzgerald Memorial Award from Allied Artists of America, and the Chicago Painters Award, Pastel Society of America, where she is a Signature member.

Style: “For me, painting photo realistic is reaching the highest level of skill and ultimate expression of perfection in anyone’s respective medium.
Being able to almost smell the onions on the table, or trying to touch the shiny glass of the water pitcher in the painting is representative of success...Fooling the viewer into thinking that he/she is looking at a photo is my ultimate goal...
There is plenty of room for impressionism, painting in the abstract, blocks of color, or just a very loose representation of a subject.”
