Name: Melody Sears
Bio: Before launching her own career as an artist, Melody Sears worked for and with other artists for almost 30 years, always fascinated by the magical process of creating fine art, and acquiring in the process not only an aesthetic sense but an understanding of what it takes to make art. Melody has studied in workshops and classes with some of the finest pastel painters today, including Lorenzo Chavez, Albert Handell, Clive Tyler, Terri Ford, Kim Lordier, and Richard McKinley. She holds memberships in Plein Air Painters of New Mexico, Sonoran Plein Air Painters, Tucson Pastel Society, Pastel Society of New Mexico, American Plains Artists, and The Drawing Studio in Tucson.
